- Studio/Web: Manga images, text, and related files you upload.
- Social Media Plugin: Tweet content and image URLs where you tag our bot on Twitter (X).
- Payment Information: We use a third-party payment processor (Stripe) to handle payments. We do not directly store your full credit card numbers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Includes your IP address, browser type, operating system, and details about how and when you interact with our Service (e.g., frequency of translation requests).
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use Cookies to maintain your login session and save your preferences.
- Security and Fraud Protection: We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our Service from spam and abuse. The reCAPTCHA algorithm checks to see if there is a real person or a computer bot interacting with the site. This tool collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. The information collected in connection with your use of the service will be used for improving reCAPTCHA and for general security purposes. It will not be used for personalized advertising by Google.
1.3 Special Notice for Browser Extension
To provide real-time web page translation, our Extension accesses the following data only when you actively enable it or browse specific manga websites:
- URL Address: Used to determine if the current page is a supported manga viewer.
- Page Content (DOM/Images): Used to extract images for translation processing. Note: We do not collect your general browsing history, search history, or any sensitive data unrelated to manga translation.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Service Provision: To execute AI image recognition, text translation, and typesetting processes.
- Product Improvement: To analyze usage data for the purpose of optimizing AI model accuracy and server performance.
- Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries or resolve technical issues.
- Security and Protection: To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Use.
3. AI Training and Content Privacy
- Image Processing: All uploaded images undergo temporary processing by our AI engine to generate translation results.
- No Training on Private Data:
- Studio Enterprise/Paid Users: We will not use your uploaded Private Content to train our public AI models. Your project files are treated as highly confidential.
- Web/Extension Free and Personal Users: To optimize translation quality, we may conduct anonymized analysis on cases where translation failed, but we will never publicly disclose your original images.
- Third-Party Models: If we utilize third-party APIs (such as OpenAI or Gemini) to assist with translation, your data will be processed in accordance with the privacy policies of those third parties. Typically, under Enterprise API standards, your data is not used to train their models.
4. Data Retention
- Extension: Upon completion of processing, images uploaded via the Extension are immediately deleted from our processing servers or retained in cache for a very limited duration (e.g., 24 hours) solely to facilitate download, after which they are permanently deleted.
- Social Media Plugin (X.com): Similarly, images processed via the Social Media Plugin are immediately deleted from our processing servers or retained in cache for a limited duration (e.g., 24 hours) to facilitate download, followed by permanent deletion.
- Web: We will retain your files until you actively delete them or until your account is terminated.
- Studio: We will retain your project files until you actively delete them or until your account is terminated, allowing you to return and edit your projects at any time.
5. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may share your data with third-party vendors who perform services for us, including:
- Google Firebase: For backend infrastructure, authentication, database hosting, and analytics.
- Microsoft Azure: For cloud computing infrastructure and storage.
- Stripe: For secure payment processing.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena (including cooperation with law enforcement investigations involving Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)).
