What is a credit?

A credit is one image translated. One manga page is one image, so translating a page usually costs a single credit. A page crowded with dialogue and hand-drawn sound effects can cost more, because the work scales with how much text is actually on it.

How many credits does a chapter cost?

About as many as it has pages. A typical 20-page chapter costs around 20 credits, so a 500-credit month covers roughly 25 chapters. Volumes and long back-catalogue reads are where the larger plans start to matter.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan includes 20 credits a month, supports 30+ languages, and works with the Chrome extension — enough to translate a full chapter of something you actually read. That is also the honest way to evaluate any manga translator: spend the free credits on your own series rather than on a demo page someone else picked.

What does annual billing change?

Only the price. Annual billing saves 16% against the monthly rate, so Lite works out at $5 a month instead of $6. The credits, languages, and queue priority are identical either way.

What does queue priority actually do?

It decides how quickly your pages are picked up when the service is busy. Free uses the standard queue and paid plans move ahead of it, with Plus and Pro at the highest priority. It changes waiting time, not translation quality — the output is the same on every plan.

Do the extension and the web tool need separate plans?

No, one plan covers both. The extension translates pages you are already viewing, in real time in your browser. The web upload tool handles images you already have, and uploads there are visible only to you, for personal study or research. Both draw on the same monthly credits.
